Viewing Product Details

You can view details of a product in your  the PAYD Pro PlusTM  inventory (i.e., a Product ID Unique ID used by Morris to identify a product variation (e.g., the same product in a different size, colour or style). In order to make adding products with multiple variations easier, Morris uses a Product Name/Product ID system whereby "Product Name" is used to identify a product and "Product ID" is used to identify each of the product's variations. The actual attributes of a product variation are defined by assigning attribute names to Product Names and attribute values for those names to Product IDs. Each of a Product Name's Product IDs must have a unique attribute combination.) by searching for the product through the Product Search screen. Access the screen from the POS view.

To display the Inventory Search screen:

• On the Transactions button panel on the POS view, click the Products button ().

The Product Search screen appears.

To view product details:

1. In the Search textbox, enter Product Name, Product ID, supplier UPC or keywords and click the Search button  ().

OR

Use the category browse function by clicking the category folder button () on the left-hand side of the screen to display the category browse panel.

Matching results appear.

TIP: To display all products in inventory, leave the textbox blank and click the Search button ().

2. On the search results list, click the product.

Details of the product appear in the Product Details popup.

NOTE: Additional tabs appear if you click the product on the POS view's Sale Items List. For more help, see Adding a Product to a Sale (Through Inventory Search).

The tab displays the following product information:

• Product Image - Displays image(s) of the product, if available.

• Product ID - The Product ID whose details you are viewing.

• Name - The Product ID's parent Product Name.

• Attributes - The attributes of the product that make it a unique product variation.

• Brand name - The brand name assigned to the Product Name, if any.

• In-stock - The quantity of Product ID currently in stock.

• Retail price - The price charged to the customer for the product.

• Unit Price - Final price charged to the customer for the product after discounts and promotions, if any, are applied.

• Taxes - Sales tax(es) applicable to the product.

To edit the Product Details information:

• At the bottom of the popup, click the Edit button.

PAYD Administration opens and the Product ID Details popup appears.

To close the Product Details popup and return to the Product Search screen:

• At the bottom of the popup, click the Close button.

To close the Product Search screen and return to the POS view:

• At the bottom of the Product Search screen, click the Close button.
