Connecting the Scanner to the App

Once the Bluetooth scanner has been paired to your Apple iPad, it needs to be connected in the PAYD Pro Plus Mobile App. Follow the directions below to connect the scanner to the app.

NOTE: Due to the method in which the scanner is paired with the Apple iPad, it is already "connected". These instructions are just to confirm the connection status of the scanner.

  1. Ensure the scanner is charged (following the manufacturer's charging instructions) and paired to the Apple® iPad.

  2. Tap the Settings button (A white gear icon on a teal button.). 

  3. On the Settings menu, tap Configuration.

  4. On the Configuration screen, tap Devices.

  5. On the right pane, in the BARCODE SCANNER section, the barcode scanner will be automatically detected and the status will change from “No barcode scanner connected” to display the scanner’s name e.g., “Socket CHS”. 

  6. Tap <Configuration at the top of the right pane to save your work and return to the Configuration screen.
