Manually Adding Store Credit

Store credit is normally added by processing a return or refund to Store Credit. However, store credit can also be manually credited to a customer outside of a return as well.  Follow the procedure below to manually increase, a customer's store credit balance.

NOTE: The customer needs to be added to the database in order to increase their balance. If the customer is not stored in the database, this procedure will not work.

  1. Tap Customers at the bottom right corner of the Sale screen.

  2. Search for the customer.

  3. Once you locate their name in the search results, slide their name from right to left to reveal the pencil button (White pencil icon on a teal button.).

  4. Tap the pencil button.

The Customer Details screen appears on the right pane.

  1. Tap Edit in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Tap the History tab at the top of the Customer Details screen.

  3. Tap Store Credit in the middle of the screen.

  1. Tap Add on the right side of the screen.

The New store credit screen appears.

  1. (Optional) Set an expiry date for the store credit:

a.      Tap Never expires.

b.      In the Select date popup, use the date selector to choose an expiry date for the store credit (month, day, and year are required).

c.       Tap Done in the bottom right corner of the Select  date popup.

  1. (Optional) Enter notes about the store credit:

  1. Tap inside the Notes field.

  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a note about the store credit.

  3. Tap the Hide keyboard button (Grey button with an image of a keyboard and a down arrow.) when finished.

  1. Tap inside the Amount field and enter the amount of store credit you are giving.

  2. Tap the Hide keyboard button (Grey button with an image of a keyboard and a down arrow.) when finished.

  1. Tap Done in the top right corner of the Store Credit screen.

  2. Tap <Customer Details at the top of the Store Credit screen.

The Customer Details screen appears.

  1. Tap <Back at the top of the Customer Details screen.

  2. Repeat steps 2 - 15 to award additional store credit to other customers as needed.
